Develop reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills aligned with the Australian Curriculum (ACARA) EAL/D Learning Progression.
Subject-Specific Learning
Build academic vocabulary through lessons in Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and Health.
Critical Thinking
Analyse, interpret, evaluate, and respond across multiple text types and communication tasks.
Collaborative Learning
Pair work, group projects, problem-solving tasks, and interactive classroom activities.

Introduction to digital learning platforms and online study skills through Canvas and course materials.

Duration
1 to 61 weeks, depending on the student's English language level, school entry requirements, and visa type.
Entry Requirements
- Beginner English level or above
- Appropriate for 12 to 17 years old
- IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, Cambridge, AEAS, or IELC Placement Test

How do I enrol at IELC?+

What level of English do I need to start?+
Students of all English levels are welcome. We offer programs from Beginner to Advanced (CEFR A1–C1). Before your course begins, you'll complete a placement test to ensure you're placed in the most suitable class.
When can I start my course?+
IELC offers rolling intakes, allowing students to commence their studies throughout the year.
Who can study at IELC?+
IELC welcomes both Australian and international students. Eligible students may study on a Student Visa, Visitor Visa, Working Holiday Visa, or other appropriate visa types. If you're unsure about your eligibility, our team is happy to assist.
